Located in a quiet and privileged area at the foot of the mountains, this beautifully rebuilt farmhouse sleeping 14 guests is a great place for a family holiday in the Alps, whatever the time of year. And with a private indoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna and a gym, it has everything you need for a fabulous mountain holiday, whether you plan to enjoy some exercise or just relax.
Its ideal location is less than 5 kilometers away from the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand, so you've got easy access to great skiing in both directions. It's just a 30-minute drive to Annecy and less than an hour to Geneva airport.
It's a short drive (or a 15-minute walk) to the village of Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, where there are several shops, including a popular bakery, sports hire shops, delicatessen, post office, supermarket, bar and many restaurants.
Groups of more than 14 people can book La Ferme de Mila together with Le Mazot de Mila, which sleeps three adults and two children.
About the property...
La Ferme de Mila is a three-storey former farmhouse with six bedrooms and six bathrooms, offering 5-star accommodation for 14 people.
After leaving your outdoor clothing in the entrance hall, you will come to the wellness area on the garden level. There, you will find an indoor pool with a counter-current option for swimmers, a fully equipped gym, a sauna, and a hot tub on the terrace. This level also has a laundry room, a shower, and separate WCs.
Five of the chalet's six bedrooms are on the ground floor, each opening onto a terrace or a private balcony. There are four double bedrooms and a children's room with two sets of bunk beds. The latter has an en-suite shower room and opens onto the covered terrace, which has a table tennis table. The last double bedroom, on the upper floor, has an en-suite bathroom.
The spacious living area is also on this floor. A glass wall separates the fully equipped kitchen from the dining area, where you can all eat together at the large tables. The first seating area has two large sofas and a fireplace, while a second area is perfect for watching television, playing board games or relaxing. A large balcony offers a magnificent view of the Aravis mountains.
On the mezzanine level, you will find a games room with a television, designed to appeal to younger guests.
About the area...
Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, just a 40-minute drive from Annecy, is a peaceful Savoyard village in the Aravis mountains, between La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand. Manigod and La Giettaz are also a short distance away. Surrounded by mountains and traditional hamlets, the village appeals to families and hikers in search of authenticity. Its local shops and friendly atmosphere make it an ideal base for exploring the neighbouring resorts while enjoying a quieter setting.
In winter, Saint-Jean-de-Sixt offers a small family ski area with two slopes, perfect for beginners. Most importantly, it offers direct access to the 220km of slopes in the neighbouring Aravis resorts. Downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging, skijoring and sleigh rides are among the popular activities in the region, while spas offer a relaxing alternative.
During the rest of the year, walking and biking trails lead to waterfalls, mountain pastures and magnificent panoramic views, while thrill-seekers can try their hand at Bun J Ride, the village's signature activity. The surrounding rivers are ideal for fishing, while nearby Lake Annecy is perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, sailing and kayaking. From mountain biking and via ferrata to paragliding and simple walks, the region offers a wide range of summer experiences.

The chalet is a haven of peace. The location is ideal, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The interior is luxurious, warm and very well equipped. The chalet La Ferme de Mila is not a venue for events, so it is strictly forbidden to use the site as a venue for an "excessive party" exceeding the maximum authorised number of guests, i.e. 14 people. Any breach of this rule will result in the deposit being deducted in full, even if there is no damage.
The owner requires a €1,000 damage and excess cleaning guarantee to be set up before arrival. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your card details are securely held for up to 14 days after departure. If no charge is required, they will be deleted.

Often overlooked in favour of its larger neighbours, La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, Saint-Jean-de Sixt is a delightful, family-friendly village at the heart of the Aravis ski area.
Just 3km from both La Clusaz in one direction and Le Grand Bornand in the other, and well connected by ski buses, you’ll have easy access to some great skiing.

La Ferme de Mila is a three-storey farmhouse, converted into luxury accommodation for 14 people.
It's a great choice for a big family get-together, or even for a holiday with friends, and with a private pool, a sauna and a hot tub, as well as great relaxation and outdoor spaces, you won't want to leave.
But there's plenty to discover in the area – there's great skiing in La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand, which are both less than 5km away, and can be reached by ski bus from the centre of Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. In the summer, there are plenty of walking and biking trails in the mountains, and the medieval lakeside city of Annecy is just a 40-minute drive.
As well as six beautiful en-suite bedrooms, La Ferme de Mila has impressive living areas where you can all get together over a good meal, a chat in front of the fire or for a drink on the terrace. There's also a separate TV room, where children can have their own privacy.
But the highlight of this wonderful chalet has to be the spa area on the ground floor – a well-equipped gym, a sauna, a shower as well as the superb indoor counter-current pool, with doors that open onto a terrace. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind.

We hope you will have a fabulous holiday in our house, in the heart of the Aravis mountains.
We've always loved this valley, for its beauty and tranquility. It's a place where you can get away from your daily routine.
When we're in the mountains, time stops, and we can enjoy a real break from the noise of city life.
Not far from the ski resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand, this valley takes shape as you approach from Annecy and Thônes. Saint-Jean-de-Sixt is the last village before you reach the ski slopes and the hiking trails.
La Ferme de Mila is in Forgeassoud Dessus, known as "the local Nice" for its natural sunshine. We have put a lot of love and energy into this home, to make it a place of comfort and relaxation.
We hope every guest will feel at home here, and enjoy the different spaces.
If you are coming for a winter break, the Aravis offers wonderful skiing in the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand, both of which are just a few minutes' drive from La Ferme de Mila. You can also enjoy ski-touring and cross-country skiing locally.
